City of Batavia issued the following announcement on Mar. 27.
We are seeking qualified candidates for the positions of Public Works Seasonal Worker in our Streets, PPS, Water and Wastewater Divisions. Duties include mowing, landscaping, general maintenance and painting of City property and utilities. Hours of work are 40 hours per week from 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday-Friday, May through August. Position requires frequent work outside, high school diploma or GED and a valid Illinois driver’s license. Must be 18 years of age or older. Starting salary $12.00 per hour DOQ.
