City of St. Charles issued the following announcement on Mar. 16.
Spring-like weather returns this weekend. It’s the perfect time to take advantage of 2 free weeks of yard waste collection. For the weeks of March 22 & March 29, the City’s refuse contractor Lakeshore Recycling Systems, will pick up bagged yard waste on normal refuse collection days for free - no sticker required.
Place twigs, trimmings, leaves, etc. in a paper yard waste bag and put the bag on the curb for pick up. No sticker needed those two weeks.
Then, beginning April 5, regular yard waste collection will begin and stickers will be required.
