City of Batavia issued the following announcement on Dec. 16.
If You Utilize Electronic Payments To Make Utility Payments, You Need To Take Action
The City of Batavia will no longer be using Payment Service Network (PSN) to process your credit card or e-check payments as of December 15th.
The City of Batavia is excited to provide our customers an upgraded utility billing presentment and payment experience with the upcoming launch of an all-new electronic payment system. The current utility bill presentment system is not linked to our payment system so you currently have to go to two different platforms to see and pay your bill. The City is partnering with Paymentus Corporation to provide customers with one system to view and pay your utility bill. You will also be able to see past bills and any payments made through the system. The new platform can provide email and text alerts and allow you to pay using your cell phone or tablet. You will need to do a one-time set up with the new company to start using the new system. You do not have to pay your bill through the system in order to take advantage of viewing your bills online if you prefer to pay another way.
