Aurora Fire District responded to 1218 calls in 2018 - 31.2 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Aurora included 166 fires - 69 structure fires, 42 vehicle fires and 55 other fires. The fire department also responded to seven calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $2,112,156 in fire loss - or about $12,724 per fire.

The department also received 1045 false calls, including 23 malicious calls and 1022 other false calls.

The calls resulted in two civilian fire-related injuries. Additionally, one fire service member was injured in fire-related incidents.
