Pingree-Grove FPD responds to 52 fires in 2018

Pingree-Grove Fire Protection District responded to 184 calls in 2018 - 5.2 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Pingree-Grove included 52 fires - 23 structure fires, four vehicle fires and 25 other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $174,750 in fire loss - or about $3,361 per fire.

The department also received 131 false calls, including two malicious calls and 129 other false calls.
