Rutland-Dundee FPD responds to 75 fires in 2018

Rutland-Dundee Fire Protection District responded to 251 calls in 2018 - 66.2 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Rutland-Dundee included 75 fires - 41 structure fires, three vehicle fires and 31 other fires.

In all, the department saw $83,000 in fire loss - or about $1,107 per fire.

The department also received 176 false calls, including one malicious call and 175 other false calls.

The calls resulted in one civilian fire-related injury.

The Rutland-Dundee Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $2,905,665 in 2018.
