City of Batavia issued the following announcement on July 24.
The City of Batavia, City of Aurora, City of Elgin, and Village of Montgomery have partnered with the Kane County Division of Transportation to launch the Fox Valley Bike Share System in the Summer/Fall 2020 riding season. The launch of the system was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic; however, will still occur under Phase 4 regulations in the state’s recovery plan. The partner municipalities are all contracting with Koloni to provide the initial roll out of a unified and seamless bike share system in the Fox Valley. It is anticipated that additional municipal sponsors will join to become a part of the system in 2021.
The municipalities are joining together for a unified launch date of July 31st, 2020, with events occurring at various times of day.
