Analysis: Montgomery pays $2.59 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Montgomery Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 72.2 percent of the $804,020 the Montgomery Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $2.59 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Kane County Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Montgomery contributed $580,602 to the fund, which saw a $77,379 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $223,418, or 27.8 percent, in 2018.
