City of Batavia City Council met May 4.

Here is the minutes provided by the council:

ROLL CALL

Mayor Schielke called the City Council meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with 13 of 14 aldermen present in the electronic meeting. All meeting participants attended via video or phone due to Gov. Pritzker’s stay-at-home order in place through May 30,2020, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The meeting was conducted in a way that allowed the general public to participate electronically if desired.

Absent at roll call: Ald. Uher, who joined the meeting at 7:37 p.m. prior to the vote on the Consent Agenda.
