3. Bike Plan and Bike Share/Koloni Update: Laura will discuss both with city council at April 28th meeting, concerning program impacts/changes due to Pandemic. We should check the agenda and attend the online meeting. Due to the loss of taxes, some projects are in jeopardy. Could push off contract with Ed Barsotti, which he signed but the city did not. Koloni did resolve contract/insurance issues.

Ryan spoke with Laura and city is waiting for Shelter in Place to be over before going forward with the bike share program. Koloni will have bikes ready immediately after a contract is signed. If a town delays program until next year, they will give up $6-$7,000 in funding from Kane County Dept of Transportation.

Shodeen added bike rack locations; no one has backed out. May delay the launch of program. Locations added by Shodeen: Geneve Metra Station, Elburn station, Herrington, new St. Charles development at 38 & Randall, and Mill Creek Town Center.

4. Bikes for Batavia: Randy helped John, who picked up all boxes of helmets and Joanne helped him get them all in storage area. We had 2 people donate bikes.John picked up 2 bikes, repaired one and delivered it to a homeless mom in Geneva along with 2 helmets. CHIP IN delivered another bike for her son. We cannot get keys duplicated without the church’s permission. John and Scott have the 2 keys, and will arrange times for Steve, John B to pick up some bikes to fix at home. The Tutt family has also offered to help with this.

Bike registration info is at storage facility to give families getting bikes and we can facilitate this. Joanne will send waiver forms for parents to sign, so city can not be liable for any injuries.

Scott working on getting bike parts to use for repairs.

Other items:

• Bike Month is moved to September and League is pushing biking for utilitarian use.

• Farmer’s Market opening still planned for May 30

• October 10- Scott’s Wedding!!!!!
