31.2% unemployed in Geneva in 2017

31.2 percent of Geneva residents between 16 and 65 years old were unemployed in 2017, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The percentage of unemployed residents was less than the statewide total of 34.7 percent for this demographic group. In 2017 the total Geneva population reached 17,327.

Out of 11,919 people who had a job, 19 were employed in the Armed Forces and 11,900 belonged to the civilian labor force.

The total unemployment numbers include residents of all ages who are not working.
