Approval of Minutes of Previous Meetings – January 8, 2020 Items also on Council Agenda

A. Nomination of the David C Cook Publishing House Property at 850 N. Grove Avenue as a Landmark (No cost)

Objective: Initiate the process to consider whether the David C Cook Publishing House property should be designated a landmark, requiring certain construction, alternation and demolition actions to be reviewed against Title 20 “Historic Preservation” of the Elgin Municipal Code.

Special Presentations and Reports - None Initiatives and Other Items

B. Auxiliary Police Officer Ordinance Amendments Changing Functions and Requirements (No cost)

Objective: Revise the ordinance to authorize new functions and requirements for auxiliary police officers.

C. DACRA Tech LLC Agreement for e-Citation Services ($229,175 over a five-year period)

Objective: Improve the efficiency of the e-citation system by migrating from departmental servers to a cloud based hosted solution by DACRA Tech LLC.

D. Automated Fire Station Alerting Hardware Replacement from Digicom Inc. ($33,440)

Objective: Install and replace outdated equipment that supports the operation of the fire station alerting system.

E. Sustainability Commission Grant Funding Recommendation to First Congregational United Church of Christ’s Environmental Justice Outreach Project ($10,000)

Objective: Distribute funds to local organizations and or individuals whose projects align with the goals and objectives found within the Elgin Sustainability Action Plan.

F. Discussion Establishing Dates, Topics and Format for 2020 City Council Work Sessions
