Illinois State House District 70 issued the following announcement on Jan. 27
I was proud to vote for this new law to cap out-of-pocket insulin costs at $100 per month. More work remains to be done and this isn’t a final answer but a bandage. It does not solve the underlying issues. This cap only applies to commercial insurance plans regulated by the state starting on Jan. 1, 2021. We must do more to protect all patients who rely on insulin and other prescription drugs but we have limited ability until the Federal Government acts.
