The youngest parolee was a 19-year-old woman convicted of a crime involving one or more weapons in 2015, and the oldest was a 50-year-old man convicted of a property crime in 2017.
The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was James Symmers. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2016, when he was 38 years old. He is now 41.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
