A. Legislative Update
Co-Chair Hanson discussed the current legislation in Springfield, IL. Hanson distributed a list of Capital Bill Requests, not included in the Agenda Packet. The list included eight project ready infrastructure proposals. Hanson commented on the condition of Statewide infrastructure. Capital projects have been presented to the Appropriations Committee in the House and Senate. Staff Rickert commented on the increase of maintenance costs, the Motor Fuel Tax and the flow of funds to the local community.
Co-Chair Sanchez commented on and discussed the Cannabis Bill, and shared information on SB1240 (the bag tax bill).

C. Lobbying, Grants, County Organizations & Education Update
Co-chair Sanchez commented on Kane County's role in the newly formed Illinois State Association of Counties (ISACo). Sanchez expressed his desire to provide educational materials regarding the legislative process to Board members and the public. Supv. of Assessments Armstrong reported that SB1871 passed the Senate and has been returned to the Rules Committee.
