Q1 2019 parolees recap: who was paroled in Saint Charles?

There were eight offenders released on parole during the first quarter that live in Saint Charles zip codes, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Kane County Reporter.

The data shows that all of the released offenders in Saint Charles were men. The median age of the parolees was 34. The youngest parolee is a 22-year-old man sentenced for property crimes in 2018, and the oldest is a 53-year-old man sentenced for crimes involving alcohol in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest is Adam Gornowich. He was convicted of property crimes in 2016 when he was 32 years old. He is now 35.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below shows the 50 cities in Illinois with the most paroled offenders in the first quarter.
