Unpaid fines for Elgin-based campaign committees totaled $5,500 in August 2018

Campaign committees in Elgin collectively owe a total of $5,500 in fines, according to records obtained from the Illinois State Board of Elections (ISBE).

A detailed review of individual fines revealed that two committees in Elgin were delinquent in payment for August 2018.

The Elgin-based committee with the largest total in unpaid fines was Citizens Elect Cody Holt, which owes a total of $5,000.

The fine that Citizens Elect Cody Holt has yet to pay was imposed on March 12, 2018, for a late quarterly report.

The following table lists all campaign committees in Elgin owing unpaid fines in August 2018, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections:
