Report: St. Charles spent $13,706 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at St. Charles Community Unit School District 303 is up 14 percent from five years ago, according to a Kane County Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Kane County school district spent $12,021 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $13,706 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 13372 to 12442.

St. Charles's spending in 2017-18 was 2.8 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
