City of Batavia issued the following announcement on Oct. 22.
Halloween comes quickly. But pumpkins rot away slowly. Do something constructive with your Jack-O-Lanterns after the Halloween season. Compost them the right way at a special event where pumpkins are smashed with good intentions in mind.
