CITY OF AURORA: The Aurora City Council proclaimed October as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

City of Aurora issued the following announcement on Oct. 11.

The Aurora City Council proclaimed October as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in the City of Aurora. Ward 1 Alderman Tina Bohman, a breast cancer survivor, courageously shared her journey and encouraged other survivors to keep the faith and spread the message.

Five of those inspiring survivors from Aurora were presented Mayoral Commendations and pink roses for showing us all how to handle challenging times with class and dignity.

We salute GLORIA CERVANTES, DOROTHY LESURE, MICKI LEAR, FRANCESCA MANZELLA AND LIZ ROBINSON-CHAN for being examples of hope and healing!

Thank you, phenomenal women! You empower an entire city. and beyond! You make us all #AuroraProud!
