CITY OF AURORA: Aurora City Council to vote on revision to plan for Asian-themed shopping center

Buildingplan

City of Aurora issued the following announcement on Sept. 22.

Did you know the nation's largest Asian Marketplace will be built right here in Aurora?

Aurora City Council members are set to vote Tuesday on a plan revision for the start of an Asian-themed marketplace on the far East Side.

The plan revision was requested by the developer, Pacific Square, LLC, which purchased the Yorkshire Plaza shopping center at New York Street and Route 59 earlier this year.

In the first phase of the development, Pacific Square would spend at least $14.25 million to improve 365,000 square feet of the center and turn it into the largest Asian-themed development in the United States.
