City of Aurora issued the following announcement on Sept. 22.
Last week Mayor Irvin and Ward 1 Alderman Tina Bohman joined Matt Miller, Owner & Founder of M14 HOOPS, and his team for the Grand Opening of their new facility M14 Hoops Training Academy at 2414 Church Road.
Matt Miller is an Aurora native who graduated from Waubonsie Valley High School in 2001, where he was a 3-year starter on the varsity basketball team. He graduated from Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky and went on to play professional basketball in the United Kingdom, Bosnia, Germany and Rwanda. He came home and founded M14 Hoops in 2009.
“I love the game of basketball and it has taught me so much. The foundation of M14 Hoops is rooted in my personal approach as a former athlete: GET BETTER EVERY DAY,” said Miller.
