87 percent of applicants to Aurora University were admitted for fall 2017

At Aurora University, 81 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 65 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Aurora enrolled 5,833 students in fall 2017, including 3,933 in undergraduate and 1,900 in graduate programs, data shows. 14.4 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

84 percent of undergraduates are residents of Illinois, and 16 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (50 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (30 percent).

The school admitted 87 percent of the 3,061 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 30 percent enrolled.
