Q1 real estate sales report: Montgomery

Median prices rose in Montgomery over last year, and are down 20.2 percent over 10 years, adjusted for inflation, according to first quarter sales data collected by BlockShopper.com.

From January to March, 78 homes sold in Montgomery for a median price of $200,000. That's 15.3 percent higher than median home sale prices for the first quarter of 2017.

In the first quarter, 2 homes in Montgomery were in foreclosure.

Median property tax for homeowners in Montgomery was $6,004.41 in 2017 according to tax data from that year. That means homeowners pay 3.5 percent of their home's value in taxes.
