Work is currently being carried out on the outdoor emergency sirens in the Village, according to a statement issued today. Residents are advised that hearing the sirens does not indicate an emergency situation. The maintenance work aims to ensure the efficiency of the sirens.

Emergency sirens play a vital role in the community’s preparedness for emergencies. They provide alerts for severe weather and other natural disasters. However, it is important to remember that these sirens are intended to deliver warnings outdoors only. Residents are encouraged to rely on other alert systems indoors, such as weather radios and mobile alerts, to ensure complete safety.

"Emergency warning sirens are a crucial part of our community’s emergency preparedness," the statement noted. "They alert us to severe weather, natural disasters, and more." The statement added that during this maintenance, hearing the sirens should not result in alarm as it is part of the regular checks.
