City of Aurora Civil Service Commission met May 17.

Chairman Oelker called the meeting to order at 4:09 p.m.

New Business:

Commissioner Wood motioned to take the commission into executive session at 4:10 p.m. to review police department applicants psychological and polygraph results. Vice Chair Armstrong seconded. Motion passed.

Vice Chair Armstrong motioned to take the commission out of executive session at 4:28 p.m. Commissioner Perkins seconded. Motion passed.

Commissioner Wood motioned to pass Police Officer cadets Vanessa Trujillo and Gabriella Nardone to the next step in the hiring process based on the results of the polygraph. Vice Chair Armstrong seconded. Motion passed.

Commissioner Wood motioned to pass 2017 Police Officer Eligibility list candidates Jasmine Munoz, Gerardo Chaidez, Alan Smith and Jonathan Lugo to the next step in the hiring process based on the results of the psychological evaluation. Vice chair Armstrong seconded. Motion passed.

Commissioner Wood motioned to strike candidates Christopher Vega and Alessandro Casuro from the 2017 Police Officer Eligibility list based on the results of the psychological evaluation. Vice chair Armstrong seconded. Motion passed.

Commissioner Wood motioned to strike candidates Andre Allen and Jonathan Schuller from the 2017 Police Officer Eligibility list for noncompliance. Commissioner Perkins seconded. Motion passed.

Vice Chair Armstrong motioned to approve the minutes from the May 3, 2018 meeting, with changes. Commissioner Perkins seconded Motion passed.

There were no candidates to strike on the 2016 Fire Private Eligibility List.

Miscellaneous items were reviewed.

Commissioner Perkins motioned, seconded by Vice Chair Armstrong to adjourn the meeting at 4:47 p.m. Motion passed.
