Rep. Robert Pritchard (R-Hinckley) pointed out a future Picasso in the House last week.

“In the balcony today, we have one of the winners of my art contest,” Pritchard said May 10 on the House floor.

Sadie Marks from Huntley Middle School in DeKalb, accompanied by her three siblings and her parents, was soaking up the accolades.

“We have an art display down on the first floor,” Pritchard said.

The focus this year is how art aids in creativity, problem solving, attention to detail and, of course, focus, he added.

“Please welcome the Marks family to the house,” Pritchard said.
