Analysis: Geneva pays $3.13 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Geneva Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 75.6 percent of the $1,513,814 the Geneva Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $3.13 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Kane County Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Geneva contributed $1,144,355 to the fund, which saw a $46,699 decrease in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $365,178, or 24.1 percent, in 2016. Another $4,281 came from other unspecified sources.
