Analysis: Elburn pays $2.86 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Elburn/Countryside Fpd Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 74.1 percent of the $847,542 the Elburn/Countryside Fpd Firefighters Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.86 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Kane County Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Elburn contributed $628,014 to the fund, which saw a $50,235 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $219,528, or 25.9 percent, in 2016.
