Analysis: Batavia pays $3.69 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Batavia Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 78.6 percent of the $2,299,926 the Batavia Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $3.69 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Kane County Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Batavia contributed $1,808,325 to the fund, which saw a $474,745 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $489,558, or 21.3 percent, in 2016. Another $2,043 came from other unspecified sources.
