The Forest Preserve Commission meeting was held Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 9:00 am at the County Board Room located at Kane County Government Center, 719 S. Batavia Ave., Bldg. A, Geneva, IL 60134. The meeting was called to order by President Michael Kenyon at 9:00 am.

V. Presentation of Recent Land Acquisitions
Director Culp made a presentation highlighting the land acquisitions made with the 2017 referendum funds. A total of 515 acres have been acquired to date. Acquisitions include: Additions to the Muirhead Forest Preserve, Johnson’s Mound, Prairie Sauer Kame, Cardinal Creek, Binnie, and the Mill Creek Greenway. Also acquisitions in Big Rock Township of approximately 80 acres of treasured woodlands and 80 acres in Sugar Grove.
