U.S. Rep. Peter Roskam (R-IL) wants to pass a federal budget and tax reform plan that he says will help millions of families and small businesses, according to a press release.
Roskam is the chairman of the House's Tax Policy Subcommittee on Ways and Means. He said his tax reform focus with his colleagues is a commitment to prioritizing growth.
“It’s time to move forward with tax reform that will help millions of American families and small business and passing a budget is the first step to making that a reality,” Roskam said in the press release. “We’re pursing aggressive growth and relief for middle-income families. Growth is a priority.”

Roskam is pushing a simplification of the tax code with leaders from his chamber and the Senate, according to the release. He said if approved, it will greatly benefit middle-class families.
