The calls in Carpentersville included 87 fires - 42 structure fires, eight vehicle fires and 30 other fires. The fire department also responded to seven calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.
In all, the department saw $487,840 in fire loss - or about $5,607 per fire.
The department also received 291 false calls, including five malicious calls and 286 other false calls.
The calls resulted in one civilian fire-related injury. Additionally, one fire service member was injured in fire-related incidents and two were injured in non fire-related incidents.
The Carpentersville Firefighters' Pension Fund, which has 36 active employees and 22 retired or inactive employees, was $743,686 in debt as of December 2015, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $8,548 for every fire in 2016.
