City of Geneva Natural Resources Committee A subcommittee of Strategic Plan Advisory Committee met August 2.

Here is the agenda provided by the Committee:

• Earth Day Event 2018

i. April 21, 2018 at Peck Farm Park, 11 to 3pm

• Eastside Fire Station Natural Landscaping Project

• River Clean-up Day

i. Day is set for Sept. 24, 2017. 10am to noon.

ii. Rain date is Oct. 1, 2017. 10am to noon.

• Rain Barrels for sale

i. Barrels are $75 each

ii. Info has been posted thru Jennifer Jarland at Kane County

• Rain Barrels on Parade

i. Next event will be some time in future

• Greening Geneva Initiative

i. Wasco planted trees in June.

ii. Sebert has been requested to provide budget numbers for tree pits in downtown.

1. Discuss plan of action.

2. Other trees other then parkway pits.

• Wine, Cheese, and Trees.

i. Date is set for February 24, 2018.

ii. Start collecting wine for the wine wall and live auction.

• Fabyan Preserve Stewardship

i. Work days will begin in October.

• Open House for Fox River Water Trail was a success. Continue to support overall initiative.

• Review ordinance revisions from Steve and Lauren.

• Arbor Day collaboration with Davey and Morton Arboretum
