Big Rock ranked 684th in state in lottery ticket sales for January 2016

The Village of Big Rock had the 684th highest lottery ticket net sales statewide per capita for the month of January 2016 -- up 52 spots from its December ranking.

The per capita lottery ticket sales in Big Rock was $17.31 per person.

Based on monthly sales records obtained by the Kane County Reporter, Big Rock generated $20,171 in net sales from its one lottery retailer in January 2016, compared to $7,527.50 in January 2015.

The Village of Big Rock is in Kane County, and has a population of 1,165, according to 2010 census data. Neighboring municipalities are Sugar Grove.

Average sales for municipalities in the region in January 2016 was $40,797.99.
