Aurora's spring yard waste collection will be from April 3-14.
During the spring collection period, residents do not have to place waste stickers on yard waste. All yard waste should be placed in 30-gallon brown paper lawn and leaf collection bags and should not exceed 60 pounds. Yard waste mixed with trash or placed in trash cans or trash bags will not be collected.
Starting April 17, yard waste set out for pickup must have a waste sticker on it. The sticker is the same type used for excess trash.
The bundled brush collection program also begins April 3 and ends Nov. 3. Waste stickers are not needed on bundled twigs and branches.
Any branches or tree limbs that are .5-inch to 4 inches in diameter and 2 feet to 4 feet long must be bundled and tied. The bundled brush should be placed at the curb in manageable piles, with the cut ends of the debris facing the street. Unbundled brush will not be picked up.
Both the yard waste and brush will be picked up on regular trash pickup days and should be at the curb by 6 a.m.
