Geneva residents looking to lose that lawn ornament or get rid of that gadget can register for a two-day citywide garage sale planned for April 28-29, the Geneva Chamber of Commerce announced recently.
The chamber organizing all advertising, marketing, printing and distribution of relevant materials. It is also working to get permission to post signs at heavily trafficked locations throughout the city.
When registering, residents can list their address and some of their sales items, both of which will appear on an online map and, on the days of the sale, on fliers handed out at key locations around town. Residents may also ask for yard signs
The garage sale will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both days. Registration costs $25 -- a portion of which will go to the 2017 Swedish Days Grand Parade -- and must be completed by April 18.
