All Styrofoam will have to be disposed with the regular garbage because the Algonquin Public Works Facility has stopped accepting it due to negative market conditions for recycled Styrofoam.

Outlets around town that were accepting Styrofoam, then taking it to the facility are no longer accepting the material.

The village is exploring other outlets for Styrofoam, and will collect it again if a market can be found for recycling and reusing the product.
