Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) records show that 85.4 percent of Geneva Community High School's (GCHS) 2015 graduating class enrolled in college within 12 months of graduation.
The 2015 state average for students in public schools was 70 percent.
For GCHS, its college-enrollment rate marks an improvement over 2014, when 85.3 percent of its graduates chose post-secondary education.
Class of 2015 college-enrollment rates at other high schools in Kane County were all lower than that of GCHS.
The data, collected by the National Student Clearinghouse, includes two- and four-year colleges.
Enrollment at GCHS in 2015 was 1,996; 516 (25.85 percent) were seniors.
ISBE said 78.0 percent of GCHS seniors were "college ready" in 2015, vs. an average of 46 percent statewide.
All students who score a 21 or higher on the ACT qualify as "college ready."
GCHS students did better in reading (70.6 percent) and English (90.4 percent), and worse in science (62.0) and math (66.0).
Only 50.2 percent of GCHS students were college ready in all four subjects, ISBE said.
