The City of St. Charles is seeking residents to fill eight open positions across six commissions and one board. These groups play a role in researching issues, making recommendations, and managing certain city services.
Appointments are made by the Mayor and require approval from the City Council. Members volunteer their time to review matters brought forward by either the council or the public, and they are expected to attend meetings.
"Serving on a commission or board is a great way to get more involved in your community," said Mayor Clint Hull. "These groups help shape local decisions, support City Council, and share information with the community."
The current vacancies include one seat on the Equity & Inclusion Commission, two seats on the Historic Preservation Commission, one seat each on the Housing Commission, Visitors Cultural Commission, Building Board of Review, and Fox River Joint Task Force.
Applicants must be residents of St. Charles. Interested individuals should submit a letter of interest and resume via email to cao@stcharlesil.gov or by mail to the Mayor’s Office at 2 E. Main St., St. Charles, IL 60174. More details about these opportunities can be found at https://bit.ly/48yU1Mp
