CALL TO ORDER
The Geneva City Council meeting was called to order by Mayor Kevin Burns at 7:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers.

Introduce Electric Lineman Jim Dillow and Utility Locators Jerry Vasquez-Castro and Ricky Gomez
Mayor Burns welcomed Jim Dillow. Mr. Dillow has been with the city for 2 weeks and worked as an electric lineman for 24 years before coming to Geneva. He was born and raised in Kansas and moved here from Rugby, North Dakota to be closer to his family.
Mayor Burns then welcomed Jerry Vasquez-Castro who has been with the city since April. He grew up in LA County near Pasadena before moving to the area and attending West Aurora High School and Waubonsee Community College. He recently got engaged.
Mayor Burns also welcomed Ricky Gomez. Mr. Gomez is also a West Aurora graduate where he played football. He also played soccer at Waubonsee. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends.

Mayor Burns noted that Item 10(a) would be removed from the agenda as it was included in error.

PUBLIC COMMENT
Geneva Chamber board member Susan Huang stated that the Geneva Arts Fair was attended by 136 artists and is a highly sought-after juried art show. She noted that 19 states were represented including Arizona, Texas, and Utah. Ms. Huang reminded everyone that Festival of the Vine begins at noon on Friday and runs through Sunday at 4:30 pm. There will be 14 restaurants and chefs participating in as food vendors this year. There will be live music, a craft show, carriage rides, and store specials. She encouraged people to volunteer at the event. She also noted that the State of Kane County event will be held on September 30 at 7:30 am at Eagle Brook. Those interested can register at the Chamber website.
NEW BUSINESS
Mayor Burns reminded everyone that history will be made on Wednesday at 5:30 pm and 7:00 pm as the first home games of the Geneva High School Flag Football teams will be played.

There being no further business, moved by Ald. Kosirog to adjourn the Geneva City Council meeting.
