City of Batavia crews are scheduled to apply spot treatments of herbicide to sidewalks in parts of the downtown area. The application will occur between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, weather permitting.
The areas planned for treatment include:
- Wilson Street from Lincoln to Prairie streets
- Batavia Avenue (Rt. 31) from Main to Houston streets
- Houston Street from Batavia to Island avenues
- Water Street from Main to Houston streets
- North River Street from Wilson to State streets
Additional sidewalks in the surrounding area may also receive treatment. Residents are advised to use caution while walking in these locations and refer to the treatment map for specific details.
