Geneva library hosts lecture on Illinois prairie management

The City’s Natural Resources Committee is set to focus on Illinois’ prairie ecosystems in its upcoming lecture series. The event will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 28, at the Geneva Public Library located at 227 S. Seventh St.

A naturalist from the Geneva Park District at Peck Farm Park will lead the presentation. The session aims to explore common characteristics of Illinois prairies and delve into the various plants and animals that inhabit these ecosystems. Additionally, it will cover methods used by land managers to preserve this important landscape.

The presentation is free, but registration is recommended. For more information about the event, interested individuals can visit the Geneva Public Library District’s website.
