The City of St. Charles is set to commence its 2025 Street Rehabilitation Project in early June. The project will begin with utility structure point repair and replacement work at various locations around the city. Concrete replacements and road work are slated to start in mid-June, with improvements planned for nearly 13.8 miles of roadway.
The construction will be executed in three phases:
- Phase I involves utility, sidewalk, curb, and driveway repairs.
- Phase II focuses on street rehabilitation work, including pavement grinding, patching, fresh oil application, and new asphalt pavement.
- Phase III covers parkway restoration and permanent pavement marking installation.
Residents can access more information on the project's webpage, which includes an interactive map of scheduled work and a complete list of streets along with regular construction updates.
Those living on streets that are scheduled for resurfacing have been notified by mail from the Public Works Department with further details. The project is anticipated to conclude by early October 2025.
