The City Council in Batavia will hold a meeting on Monday where several significant events are set to take place. The agenda features various activities, including reappointments of annual department heads and authorizing a contract for a citywide facilities needs assessment. Additionally, there will be presentations from the Chamber of Commerce and Water Street Studios.
During the latter part of the meeting, newly elected officials will take the oath of office. This group includes Mayor Jeffery Schielke, City Clerk Kate Garrett, and Aldermen Jennifer Baerren, Leah Leman, Kevin Malone, Alice Lohman, Dustin Pieper, Tony Malay, Jim Fahrenbach, Matt Anderson, Robin Barraza, and Sarah Vogelsinger.
The meeting will also serve to recognize the outgoing Aldermen George Ajazi, Mark Uher, and Nicholas Cerone for their contributions to the City of Batavia.
