The City of Geneva is preparing to kick off its 2025 street improvement program in May. The initiative includes 17 projects focusing on resurfacing and ADA compliance.
Residents interested in learning more about the construction efforts are invited to an informational meeting. The session is scheduled for 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on April 29, at the Geneva Public Works Department located at 1800 South Street. City staff will present an overview of the planned construction and respond to questions. Attendees should enter the building from the east side door.
The program also features additional projects including the reconstruction of the Hamilton Street parking lot, pavement patching on Third Street, and parking reconfiguration on James Street. Detailed project locations and maps can be accessed on the City’s official website. Those residing on roads scheduled for construction, or nearby cross streets, will receive an invitation letter from the City to attend the meeting.
The construction is expected to reach completion by mid-August, depending on weather conditions. Residents can opt to receive updates on road work by subscribing to the Notify Me service on the City’s website.
For further information, interested parties can contact the City’s Civil Engineer Elton Orozco by calling 630-232-1279 or through email.
