Devin Corbett, chairman of the Aurora Township Republicans, said that President Trump's address to Congress on March 4 promoted a vision for a stronger, self-reliant nation driven by economic growth and America-first policies. Corbett made his statement to Kane County Reporter on March 10.

"President Trump delivered a powerful vision for America's resurgence, highlighting economic expansion, government reform, and inflation relief as top priorities," said Corbett. "Democrats, instead of offering solutions, resorted to partisan theatrics, but their noise could not drown out the truth. His policies—ranging from cutting federal waste to making everyday necessities more affordable—reflect an unwavering dedication to the American people. With a firm grasp on the challenges ahead, Trump stands ready to lead the nation into a new era of opportunity."

According to Fox News, President Trump delivered his first major speech to Congress in his second term, outlining his administration’s priorities. He highlighted efforts such as federal downsizing under Elon Musk and addressed inflation concerns, particularly rising grocery costs. The report noted partisan reactions—Republicans applauded while Democrats remained seated, holding signs reading "False." Trump cited examples of government waste and concluded with a call to action, expressing optimism for the country’s future and declaring that a "golden age of America" was beginning.

In a March 5 post on its website, the White House reported on the reception of President Trump's address before Congress. The White House said that during his first address to a joint session of Congress in his second term, President Donald J. Trump delivered a powerful speech highlighting the accomplishments of his first six weeks in office and charting a course for four years of prosperity. The address received widespread acclaim with 76% of Americans approving according to a CBS poll, while a CNN poll showed 69% had a positive reaction.

Corbett is also noted as being elected as Chairman of the Aurora Township Republican Party in 2024. According to the organization’s website, he is focused on boosting Republican voter turnout, growing the Party’s membership, and communicating the Party’s positions on issues important to Aurora Township voters.
