Illinois State Representatives have called for immediate measures to protect correctional officers, staff, and inmates from the increasing threat of dangerous substances entering state prisons through mail.

"We need to take immediate action to protect correctional officers, staff, and inmates from the growing threat posed by dangerous substances entering Illinois prisons through the mail," said a statement from House Republicans.
