There were two gas stations in cities across Kane County selling premium gas at the lowest price of $4.64 per gallon in the week ending Mar. 16, according to GasBuddy.com.

Of the 13 gas stations in cities within Kane County, two offer premium gas.

The average price of premium gas in Illinois was $4.58, compared to $4.59 the week before.

Gas prices in the U.S. have fluctuated greatly in recent times and many drivers are feeling the pain at the pump.

The cost of rising gas prices is made tougher on average U.S. families by rising inflation. Families had to pay nearly 3.5% more for average goods and food they needed.
