Conservative Republican Governor for Illinois candidate Darren Bailey threw his support to a veteran-owned business.

Bailey and his team continue to go around the state to spread the word about his fight to restore Illinois.

"If you’re ever traveling through Batavia make sure to check out a veteran-owned small business called Gun Barrel Coffee!" Bailey said. "This is one of the greatest parts of campaigning all over the state, we get to tour great businesses just like this one. It is entrepreneurs like that folks at Gun Barrel Coffee who make our country work and make our country great!"

Gun Barrel Coffee is co-owned by a former U.S. Army.

“We are the Gun Barrel Coffee Inc team," Gun Barrel Coffee notes on its website. Sal and Brian have been lifelong friends and Michael joined our team. Sal is a U.S. Army Veteran of Iraq and Brian and Michael are civilians. We are united by the love of coffee, guns, freedom and America. What started as a hobby has turned into a high-quality home-roasted coffee enjoyed by family, friends and now the public. We are proud to donate a portion of our proceeds to the organizations who support those who serve, those who protect and the defenders of our rights and freedom.”

The company is similar to Black Rifle Coffee Company in that it exudes conservative values.

Branding for political purposes has taken off in recent years. Companies like Gun Barrel Coffee have been challenging the market dominancy of Starbucks. Howard Schultz, Starbucks' most successful CEO, was one of the first to introduce leftist politics in service and business practices, according to The New York Times.

Bailey was also in Batavia last November.

With his conservative values, Bailey would want to restore Illinois by reopening the economy and schools, opposing state and taxpayer funding of abortions to protect the rights of the unborn, advocating for the constitutional right to bear arms, advocating for common sense education reforms that put children first, lower both property and income taxes, stand up for farmers with necessary policies, and promoting transparency and ensuring safeguards against powerful government overreach.
